Next Generation Ford Explorer
Codenamed «U502» new version of the Ford Explorer has significant changes compared with the previous generation. 2011 Explorer model is based on the D4 platform, which are currently based Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT.
For the new Ford Explorer will add two new engines, 2.0-liter four-Ecoboost and 3.5-liter turbocharged Ecoboost V-6.
Series production of 2011 Ford Explorer will begin in 2010 at a Chicago factory. Debut of next generation Ford Explorer will be held at the motor show in New York.
